Lorin G. Tobler

Attorney

After obtaining a degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1967 and serving in the United States Army, Lorin came to Arizona for law school and never left. He graduated from the University of Arizona with his Juris Doctorate in 1972, where he was editor of the Law Review. Following graduation, he began practicing in the Phoenix area, and after gaining experience in a variety of legal fields, he started his own practice focusing on accident and injury law.

Maren Tobler Hanson

Attorney

Maren received a degree in economics from Stanford University in 1997, followed by a combined Masters of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University in 2001. She has worked in both law and finance at Kim & Chang in Korea, Ford Motor Company in Michigan, and Dell Computers in Texas. Maren has passed the bar exam in Arizona, California, and Utah. She now focuses on accident, injury, and medical malpractice litigation at Tobler & Associates.

Nathan Tobler

Attorney

After receiving his degree in communications from Brigham Young University in 2003, Nathan spent several years in Los Angeles working in advertising and entertainment. However, Nathan soon returned to his home state to attend law school at Arizona State University. While attending law school Nathan served as an editor on the school’s law journal, worked as an extern for the Arizona Court of Appeals, and participated as a student member of the Horace Rumpole Inn of Court. Nathan now specializes in accident injury cases at Tobler & Associates.

Maribel Buford

Paralegal

After receiving her Associates Degree in commercial art, Maribel worked for Maricopa County. Soon after she received her certification in crisis counseling and became a volunteer crisis counselor with the Phoenix Police Department. This led to her interest in law, and she has now been a paralegal since 1996. She specializes in pre-litigation and civil-litigation personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death. She is bilingual and has served as a spokesperson at CASA and KPHX Spanish radio. She enjoys spending time with her three teen-age boys and her three lovable dogs.

Susan Almquist

Paralegal

Susan is from Louisiana where she attended Southeastern Louisiana University. She has worked as paralegal specializing in personal injury, for more than twenty years, first in California and then in Arizona. Susan’s focus is in pre-litigation, preparing the best case for her clients to achieve an early, equitable solution whenever possible. She enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. She and her husband enjoy running marathons and have combined their love of travel with running marathons in different cities. She enjoys leisure time at home with her husband, two teenage sons and a golden retriever.

Angel Kriser

Legal Assistant

Angel has been working with the Tobler Team since 1995. Throughout the years, she has worked in a wide range of responsibilities for the firm. Currently, she is working as our bookkeeper. She is detail oriented and great with numbers. Angel pursued her education at Mesa Community College and The University of Phoenix. She is the mother of five and is often entertained by her children. With her family, she enjoys various recreational activities; particularly camping. If time ever permits, Angel loves to curl up with a good book.

Frankie Jo Jordan

Paralegal

Frankie is a Paralegal for Tobler & Associates. She received her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from the ABA approved Paralegal Program at Phoenix College in May 2010. She was born and raised for the most part in Phoenix, Arizona. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her children going hiking, camping or fishing. If she can get a little time to herself, she loves to paint, garden and listen to music.

Mary Sherwood

Front Desk Legal Assistant

Mary is the Front Desk Legal Assistant for Tobler & Associates. She is currently in the Phoenix College Paralegal Program where she plans to graduate in December 2011. She has worked in legal field for two and a half years doing mostly criminal defense work. In her free time she enjoys going to the dunes, snowboarding, crafting, playing her instruments, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two hound dogs.

Esteffon Dorn

Legal Assistant

Esteffon Dorn is a senior at Mesa High School. He is scheduled to graduate May 2011. He has also attended Mesa Community College where he was given a scholarship to attend the STEP program. After he graduates from Mesa High, he plans to return to MCC where he will restart his education to earn a degree in mechanical engineering. Esteffon began working at Tobler & Associates during summer months starting in 2009 as a file clerk. He joined the firm as a part-time legal assistant in January 2010. He enjoys playing basketball, reading, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and also enjoys playing the violin. He is a hard working, dedicated individual and looks forward to a happy and productive future.
