Lorin G. Tobler

Attorney

After obtaining a degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1967 and serving in the United States Army, Lorin came to Arizona for law school and never left. He graduated from the University of Arizona with his Juris Doctorate in 1972, where he was editor of the Law Review. Following graduation, he began practicing in the Phoenix area, and after gaining experience in a variety of legal fields, he started his own practice focusing on accident and injury law.

Maren Tobler Hanson

Attorney

Maren received a degree in economics from Stanford University in 1997, followed by a combined Masters of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University in 2001. She has worked in both law and finance at Kim & Chang in Korea, Ford Motor Company in Michigan, and Dell Computers in Texas. Maren has passed the bar exam in Arizona, California, and Utah. She now focuses on accident, injury, and medical malpractice litigation at Tobler & Associates.

Nathan Tobler

Law Clerk

After receiving his degree in communications from Brigham Young University in 2003, Nathan spent several years in Los Angeles working in advertising and entertainment. However, Nathan soon returned to his home state to attend law school at Arizona State University. While attending law school Nathan served as an editor on the school’s law journal, worked as an extern for the Arizona Court of Appeals, and participated as a student member of the Horace Rumpole Inn of Court. Nathan has now graduated and awaits admission to the Arizona Bar Association.

Jared Coburn

Law Clerk

Jared was born and raised in Idaho.  He graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City with a degree in International Business.  He is currently a law student at Arizona State University.  When Jared is not at work or school, he enjoys sports and the outdoors.

Maribel Buford

Paralegal

After receiving her Associates Degree in commercial art, Maribel worked for Maricopa County. Soon after she received her certification in crisis counseling and became a volunteer crisis counselor with the Phoenix Police Department. This led to her interest in law, and she has now been a paralegal since 1996. She specializes in pre-litigation and civil-litigation personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death. She is bilingual and has served as a spokesperson at CASA and KPHX Spanish radio. She enjoys spending time with her three teen-age boys and her three lovable dogs.

Voica Ghisoiu 

Paralegal

Voica is originally from Romania where she received her Bachelor of Arts in History and English. Voica moved to Phoenix in 1999 where she attended the Phoenix Career College paralegal class. She has been working in the legal field since 2001, and joined Tobler & Associates team in 2008. She enjoys working on home improvement projects and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.

Kristi Judd

Office Manager

Kristi was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, but received her Business degree from Brigham Young University in Utah. Her husband’s attendance at ASU’s law school has brought Kristi to Arizona and to the Tobler team. She loves international travel and anything outdoors. She helps with general business management.

Kim Hardina

Paralegal

Kim is a paralegal for the Tobler Team. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Kim has past experience working as an insurance adjuster, and she is currently enrolled in the paralegal studies program at Phoenix College. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and being active.

Rainy Hale

Legal Assistant

Rainy is re-joining the Tobler Team again after finishing her junior year at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She is majoring in nursing and recently returned from a study abroad to Taiwan where she worked with patients in a hospital and in the community. Rainy is looking forward to expanding her understanding of the medical field from a legal standpoint. When she is not at work, Rainy enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her family.

Angel Kriser

Legal Assistant

Angel has been working with the Tobler Team since 1995. Throughout the years, she has worked in a wide range of responsibilities for the firm. Currently, she is working as our bookkeeper. She is detail oriented and great with numbers. Angel pursued her education at Mesa Community College and The University of Phoenix. She is the mother of five and is often entertained by her children. With her family, she enjoys various recreational activities; particularly camping. If time ever permits, Angel loves to curl up with a good book.

Susan Almquist

Paralegal

Susan is from Louisiana where she attended Southeastern Louisiana University. She has worked as paralegal specializing in personal injury, for more than twenty years, first in California and then in Arizona. Susan’s focus is in pre-litigation, preparing the best case for her clients to achieve an early, equitable solution whenever possible. She enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. She and her husband enjoy running marathons and have combined their love of travel with running marathons in different cities. She enjoys leisure time at home with her husband, two teenage sons and a golden retriever.
